Welcome

Welcome to the Ellis Island Institute,  the newest addition to the Ellis Island experience. The Institutes is a program of Save Ellis Island and is located in one of America's premier national parks, the Statue of Liberty National Monument and Ellis Island.  Visit us on Ellis Island and here on the web to uncover the untold story of Ellis Island's hospitals and to explore the issues of migration and world health.  Witness one of the largest historic preservation projects  ever undertaken in this country as the twenty-nine un-restored buildings on Ellis Island are re-born as the Ellis Island Institute and Conference Center. Join our current programs, watch our progress and support our work.
