New U.S. Interior Secretary Ken Salazar recently toured the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island with U.S. Senator Robert Menendez (D-NJ) in order to examine the possibility of reopening Lady Liberty’s crown and restoring the closed portions of Ellis Island.
